History
Avon Badminton Club was founded in 1983 with Jack Ewart and Allan Spinks being the founders and coach. Over the years the club grew to its height of 120 members it is now smaller and new members of any ability are welcome. Over the years we have based our club at different venues in Christchurch. The club has a proud history, having many successful inter-club teams in all grades, through to producing many Canterbury Representatives.
